New Service Available at Franklin Synergy Bank
Bank adds new QuickBooks® Direct Connect feature to their online banking options
Franklin Synergy Bank now offers the Direct Connect option for downloading account information into QuickBooks®. We have always offered the ability to export bank transactions to be imported into QuickBooks®, but this makes the interaction between our Bank and your QuickBooks® application much easier and user friendly. Direct Connect refers to two-way connectivity between Franklin Synergy Bank's OFX server and QuickBooks®. Direct Connect uses the
OFX protocol to allow you to access your Franklin Synergy Bank account information from within QuickBooks®. Direct Connect features One-Step Update, the fastest, easiest way for you to connect with Franklin Synergy Bank!
Features Of Direct Connect:
- No manual data entry – Once you’re set up, you can download all your transactions right into QuickBooks® – instead of typing them in by hand.
- Automatically reconcile data – Direct Connect data includes complete transaction and balance information to make categorization and account reconciliation easy. Downloaded transactions are automatically matched with existing transactions and new ones are entered into the register.
- No duplicate transactions – Direct Connect incorporates a special transaction matching algorithm that prevents the download of duplicate transactions. Previously downloaded transactions are filtered out so duplicates are not created.
- Easy to use – Direct Connect files may be automatically opened from within QuickBooks® - eliminates the need for you to search for files that have been downloaded.
When you attempt to connect to your financial institution within QuickBooks®, please select "Franklin Synergy Bank DC". Once you continue, you will be asked for your Internet Banking UserID and current Password. If this login information is correct, you will be able to select which account you want to download into Quickbooks. Please note: Only transactions after April 15, 2013 will be downloaded in the DirectConnect method. If you need to import data older than April 15, 2013, you will need to export the file from within Internet Banking.
