Franklin Synergy Bank Recruits Assistant Chief Financial Officer Sally Kimble

SallyKimble.jpgFranklin, TN - April 19, 2012 - Franklin Synergy Bank has recruited veteran banker Sally P. Kimble as Senior Vice President, Assistant Chief Financial Officer. Kimble’s appointment was announced Thursday by Franklin Synergy Bank President Richard Herrington.

"Franklin Synergy has grown rapidly since we opened in November of 2007,” commented Herrington. “Sally is a great complement to our team of financial professionals.”

Kimble joins Franklin Synergy with more than twenty years of banking experience, most recently at American Bank & Trust of the Cumberlands in Cookeville, Tennessee, where she served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

Her banking career began at First Bank & Trust (First Financial Corporation) in Mt. Juliet, where she served as Treasurer, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Previous experience also includes Capital Bank & Trust Company (Capital Bancorp, Inc.), where Kimble served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Kimble holds a B.A. from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and certificates from the Graduate School of Bank Investments and Financial Management at the University of South Carolina and the Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University. In addition, she holds a certificate from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado.

Franklin Synergy Bank opened its first branch in November 2007 in Cool Springs and earned its first profit in the first quarter of 2009. The bank reached $100 million in deposits in October 2008, the same month Franklin Synergy opened a branch in the Bennett House in downtown Franklin. The bank reached $200 million in deposits in July of 2009, topped $300 million in December 2010 and $400 million in December 2011. The bank's assets surpassed $500 million in February 2012.

A new Downtown Franklin headquarters and branch opened on Columbia Avenue in May 2010 and an office in Brentwood opened in January 2011. In addition, Franklin Synergy operates a mortgage office in Synergy Business Park in Brentwood.
