Franklin, TN - October 23, 2007 - Local banker William W. Billington, Jr. has joined Franklin Synergy Bank (in organization), as Senior Vice President and Business Development Banker. The appointment was announced Tuesday by Franklin Synergy Bank President Richard Herrington. Billington will be based at the bank's Aspen Brook Village location in Cool Springs.

Prior to joining Franklin Synergy Bank, Billington was a Vice President and Private Banker with PrimeTrust Bank. He previously served as Vice President at Franklin National Bank and as Assistant Vice President at First Union National Bank. Billington is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and attended the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
Billington is active in Franklin through the Franklin Noon Rotary, the Williamson County-Franklin Chamber of Commerce and the Brentwood Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce. A long-time member of the Cattleman's Association, Billington is also a graduate of Leadership Franklin.
Organizers expect Franklin Synergy Bank to open in November 2007. The bank will focus on real estate lending, business banking, government and non-profit banking.
