Al Dorsey Joins Franklin Synergy Bank (in organization)

AlDorsey.jpgFranklin, TN - November 1, 2007 - Franklin Synergy Bank President Richard Herrington has announced the appointment of Al Dorsey as Assistant Vice President, Treasury Management Services. Dorsey will market technology-based treasury banking services to local businesses. He will be based at the bank’s Aspen Brook Village location in Cool Springs.

“Al has owned and managed several successful businesses,” commented Herrington. “This past experience gives Al an unusual insight into the needs of our local business customers.”

Dorsey was owner and president of Powermatic Foundry in McMinnville, Tennessee and also owner and president of Allied Bearings and Supply in Nashville. Dorsey is a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He served on the University Of Tennessee Athletic Board Of Directors Finance Committee as well as the Board of Visitors for the College of Education. Dorsey’s community ties include service on the Franklin Road Academy Board of Trustees, the Multiple Sclerosis Board of Directors, and the Administrative Board of Brentwood United Methodist Church. Prior to Dorsey’s business career, he was a successful defensive backfield coach at both Virginia Tech and the University of Richmond. In addition, Al is a regular contributor to the Sports Zone with George Plaster on WGFX-FM radio.

Organizers expect Franklin Synergy Bank to open in November 2007. The bank will focus on real estate lending, consumer and business banking, government and non-profit banking.
