Franklin Synergy Bank announces debut in downtown Franklin

BennettHouse1.jpgFranklin, TN - August 8, 2008 - Franklin Synergy Bank today announced that it has selected a site for a downtown Franklin location. The announcement was made by Richard Herrington, President of Franklin Synergy Bank. The branch, to be located in the Bennett House at 134 4th Avenue North, will be Franklin Synergy Bank’s second location.

“This is our first branch; we anticipate opening in downtown Franklin in the fourth quarter,” said Herrington. “Franklin is our home; it’s important for us to be downtown to serve our customers. In less than nine months, Franklin Synergy Bank has grown to $120 million in assets and more than $80 million in deposits. Growth at this pace would be remarkable in the best of economic climates; it is doubly so under current challenging economic conditions.”

Built in 1875, the Bennett House has served at various times as a residence, a clothing store and a well-known recording studio for some of the biggest names in music. “As Franklin Synergy begins its history in downtown Franklin, we have the benefit of a landmark location with so much history,” noted Herrington. “We have built a quality franchise at our initial location in Cool Springs and our customers can expect to see some familiar faces at the new downtown location.” Franklin Synergy Bank’s downtown branch is pending approval of the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions and the Federal Reserve Bank.

Franklin Synergy Bank opened in November 2007, offering a unique combination of the traditional values of community banking, such as trust, competence and expediency, with innovative, technology-based delivery systems. This combination creates synergy, a process in which the sum of tailored banking products, advanced technology and dedicated bankers define a superior banking experience for our customers.
