Pam Stephens and Jim Cross Join Franklin Synergy Bank Board

PamStephens.jpgFranklin, TN - July 20, 2009 - Williamson Memorial Funeral Home’s Pam Stephens and Century Construction Company, Inc., President Jim Cross have joined 6 prominent business and community leaders on the board of directors of Franklin Financial Network, Inc., parent company of Franklin Synergy Bank. Their service on the board began July 10, 2009.

Pam and Jim bring a wealth of business and banking experience; their strong community relationships, developed over many years, will serve our shareholders well. We are delighted to add their expertise to our board,” said Richard Herrington, president.

Stephens is a licensed Funeral Director and part owner of Spring Hill Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Spring Hill, TN, in addition to Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin. She served on the Board of Directors of Cumberland Bank in Franklin, TN. In addition, Stephens is a Paul Harris Fellow where she served as charter president of the Rotary Club of Spring Hill. She is a past president of the Cemetery Association of Tennessee and past president of the Southern Cemetery and Funeral Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the Franklin-Williamson County Chamber of Commerce and Board of Director of the Tennessee Funeral Directors Association.

In addition to serving as president of Franklin-based Century Construction Company, Inc., Cross also serves as president of Land Contractors, Inc., a site development firm also based in Franklin. He served on the Board of Directors of Franklin Financial Corporation, parent of Franklin National Bank and the Tennessee affiliate Board of Directors of Fifth Third Bank in Franklin. Cross is a member of the Board of Directors of Williamson Medical Center, Battle Ground Academy, the Williamson County Library Foundation and Leadership Franklin. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Franklin Tomorrow, Youth Leadership Franklin, the Franklin-Williamson County Chamber of Commerce and the Williamson County Library.

Franklin Synergy Bank opened its first office in November 2007 in Cool Springs and earned its first profit in the first quarter of 2009. The bank reached $100 million in deposits in October 2008, the same month Franklin Synergy opened an office in the Bennett House in downtown Franklin. An office and headquarter operation currently under construction on Columbia Avenue in Franklin, opens in 2010. In addition, Franklin Synergy operates a mortgage office on Synergy Business Park in Brentwood.
