Brentwood Banker Kay Waller to Open Franklin Synergy Bank in Brentwood
"Kay is an exciting addition to our team and the ideal banker to open our Brentwood office,” Herrington said. “At Franklin Synergy, she re-unites with a familiar banking team; it’s a homecoming we’ve looked forward to for some time. In addition, she knows our customers and our culture well.”
“Kay was an instrumental part of our success of Franklin National Bank,” added Herrington. “Fifteen years ago, she led Franklin National into Brentwood, and now she will do the same for Franklin Synergy Bank. We welcome her back to our family.”
Franklin Synergy’s office in Brentwood will be located at 4930 Thoroughbred Lane in the Merchants Walk shopping area. Prior to the opening of the Brentwood office, Waller will work from Franklin Synergy’s new headquarters and banking office at 722 Columbia Avenue in Downtown Franklin. The Columbia Avenue headquarters opened on May 17 and a Grand Opening Celebration and breakfast open to the public is scheduled for Tuesday, June 22 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am.
Waller is a Middle Tennessee native who currently serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee at Brentwood United Methodist Church. She is a former Board member and Treasurer of the Brentwood Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce. Waller has also served on the Board of Directors of United Way of Williamson County.
“I am very excited about the opportunity to take Franklin Synergy Bank into the Brentwood market,” commented Waller. “I’ve spent most of my career in Brentwood and Franklin Synergy is one of the few banks in the market that are aggressively lending money in today’s environment. It is with great joy that I join a team of bankers I know well and I look forward to getting the new location open and serving my customers’ loan and deposit needs.”
Franklin Synergy Bank opened its first office in November 2007 in Cool Springs and earned its first profit in the first quarter of 2009.
