Franklin Bank Names Aimee Punessen Senior Vice President

Punessen will serve as Senior Vice President for Franklin Synergy Bank, currently being organized through the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions. The appointment was announced Monday by Richard Herrington, president of Franklin Financial Network, parent of Franklin Synergy Bank, in organization. Punessen will oversee all marketing, public relations, and investor relations efforts.

Punessen most recently served as Assistant Vice President at Cumberland Bank until its sale in May 2007. Prior to Cumberland Bank, Punessen served as Executive Director of Education First Foundation and was a consultant to various local non-profit organizations, focusing on strategic planning, communications and revenue growth. From 1985 to 1991, Punessen was a Contract and Program Manager with Textron Aerostructures. Punessen is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.

Organizers expect Franklin Synergy Bank (in organization) to open during the fourth quarter of 2007 with an expected $25 million in capital raised from local investors. The bank will focus on real estate lending, business banking, government and non-profit banking.
