Franklin, TN - April 4, 2011 - Franklin Synergy Bank has appointed David J. McDaniel as Senior Vice President. McDaniel is a Brentwood native and brings extensive financial services experience to his new position. His most recent role was as Regional President at Community First Bank & Trust in Cool Springs.
Private Banker David McDaniel Joins Franklin Synergy Bank
McDaniel, whose appointment was announced Monday by Franklin Synergy President Richard Herrington, will be based in the bank’s Cool Springs branch on Aspen Grove Drive. In a banking career that spans more than eighteen years, he has held roles at AmSouth Bank, First American Bank, Equitable Securities and Merrill Lynch. McDaniel holds a B.S. in Finance and an M.B.A from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is a graduate of Brentwood Academy in Brentwood and resides in Franklin with his wife Missy and their two children.

McDaniel is a graduate of Leadership Franklin and a member of the Williamson County/Franklin Chamber of Commerce. He has been an active member of Judson Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon and head of the Finance Committee. In his free time, McDaniel helps coach softball and baseball in Franklin.

Franklin Synergy Bank opened its first branch in November 2007 in Cool Springs and earned its first profit in the first quarter of 2009. The bank reached $100 million in deposits in October 2008, the same month Franklin Synergy opened a branch in the Bennett House in downtown Franklin. The bank reached $200 million in deposits in July of 2009 and topped $300 million in December 2010. A new Downtown Franklin headquarters and branch opened on Columbia Avenue on May 17, 2010 (the Bennett House branch was closed). An office in Brentwood opened in January 2011.
