Valerie Green Joins Franklin Synergy Bank

ValerieGreen.jpgFranklin, TN - July 5, 2011 - Valerie Green has joined Franklin Synergy Bank as a Lending Assistant. Green, whose appointment was announced Tuesday by Franklin Synergy President Richard Herrington, will be based in the bank’s Downtown Franklin office.

Green, a New Jersey native, brings extensive financial services experience to her new position. Her most recent role was as Commercial/Consumer Loan Processor with Community First Bank & Trust in Franklin, focusing on Small Business Administration loans. During her tenure at Community First, Green completed six courses for the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL) Fundamental Lender Diploma Program. NAGGL serves the needs and represent the interests of the small business lending community that utilizes SBA business loan programs.

In addition, Green served as Head Teller at AmSouth Bank (Regions Bank) in Franklin. She attended Douglass Residential College, the women's residential college of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey and is currently completing a degree at the University of Phoenix.

Green is active in the community through the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home, serving on the annual 5k Run4Kids fund-raising committee since 2008. She and her husband, Andy, are active members of The People’s Church in Franklin.

Franklin Synergy Bank opened its first branch in November 2007 in Cool Springs and earned its first profit in the first quarter of 2009. The bank reached $100 million in deposits in October 2008, the same month Franklin Synergy opened a branch in the Bennett House in downtown Franklin. The bank reached $200 million in deposits in July of 2009 and topped $300 million in December 2010. A new Downtown Franklin headquarters and branch opened on Columbia Avenue on May 17, 2010 (the Bennett House branch was closed). An office in Brentwood opened in January 2011.
