Myers Jones Promoted to Executive Vice President

MyersJones.jpgFranklin, TN - August 4, 2011 - Franklin Synergy Bank has announced the promotion of Myers Jones to Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer. Jones joined Franklin Synergy in July 2009, with more than 30 years of community bank experience, including senior executive roles at Franklin National Bank and Cadence Bank. In addition, Jones served as a senior executive of other area banks, including Sovran Bank and Commerce Union Bank.

Jones, whose promotion was announced Thursday by Franklin Synergy President Richard Herrington, will continue to lead the bank’s Credit Risk Management effort.

"Myers has managed our credit risk area for the last two years, but many of us have worked with him for more than twenty years," commented Herrington. "We have always admired his work; he’s been a steadying influence in a turbulent banking environment. We are delighted to recognize his contribution to the success of Franklin Synergy through this promotion."

Franklin Synergy Bank opened its first branch in November 2007 in Cool Springs and earned its first profit in the first quarter of 2009. The bank reached $100 million in deposits in October 2008, the same month Franklin Synergy opened a branch in the Bennett House in downtown Franklin. The bank reached $200 million in deposits in July of 2009 and topped $300 million in December 2010. A new Downtown Franklin headquarters and branch opened on Columbia Avenue on May 17, 2010 (the Bennett House branch was closed). An office in Brentwood opened in January 2011.
