A Vintage Affair, the premier wine event in Williamson County, will celebrate its 17th year of giving to area nonprofits benefiting women and children.
The three-night event features four wine, food and entertainment happenings, held Wednesday through Friday, April 19-21.
AVA kicks off with the “Meet the Vintner” sponsored by Franklin Synergy Bank with dinner again graciously provided by Sperry’s Restaurant in Cool Springs. Vintners for the evening’s event include: Aequitas Vineyards, Barnett Vineyards, Robledo Family Winery, Bougetz, and Wonderment Wines. This intimate event features a five-course meal, with hand-selected wine pairings and the opportunity to meet, speak and dine with the vintners. A cocktail reception begins at 6 pm featuring sparkling wine and hors d’oeuvres, which is followed by dinner service at 7 pm.
Meet the Vintner will be held Wednesday, April 19 at Sperry’s Restaurant in Cool Springs. The cost to attend the dinner is $250 per person.
The following night “AVA Goes Country” at Green’s Grocery in Leiper’s Fork sponsored by First Citizens National Bank. Bring your 10-gallon hat and boots for an evening filled with all things country — locally renowned BBQ, and toe-tapping live music.
There will also of course be one-of-a-kind wines, bourbons, beers and cigars. The evening kicks off a casual meal provided by Love Language Catering out on the porch and in the backyard with wines by Robledo Family Winery, Barnett Vineyards, and Lucas & Lewellen.
There will also be local beers and spirits from Tito’s Vodka, and bourbons from Four Roses and Idaho Whiskey. Then the good times keep rolling with the music of The Kentucky Linemen, www.thekentuckylinemen.com.
AVA Goes Country will be held Thursday, April 20 at Green’s Grocery in Leiper’s Fork. The cost to attend is $75 per person.
The “Main Event,” which is sponsored by Cigna will be held Friday, April 21, at the Factory at Franklin in Liberty Hall. This event begins with a VIP Pre-Party sponsored by Century/Skanska at 5:30 pm with select fine wines and food once again provided by The Red Pony.
Following the VIP party, the doors open for The Main Event at 7 pm. The evening features a silent auction with hundreds of fine items donated by local merchants, restaurants, artists and other friends of AVA.
The silent auction will be hosted online for the first and available for pre-event viewing and bidding. Separate announcements will be made as the silent auction site goes live.
As in past years, there will be a wine auction of fine wines from around the world. There will also be a live auction that includes wine dinners, paintings and fantastic trips. Throughout the evening there will be great food from local restaurants along with wines, beers and spirits from sponsors that include Vino et Spiritus, Moon Wine & Spirits, and Happy Ours Wine and Spirits.
The Main Event will also feature an outdoor lounge where attendees can enjoy drinks and cigars.
The AVA VIP Pre-Party and Main Event will be held Friday, April 21 in Liberty Hall in The Factory. The cost to attend the VIP Pre-Party is $150 per person (which includes admission to the Main Event) and the Main Event is $100 per person.
Funds raised from this year’s AVA events will benefit Williamson Medical Center NICU, Hope Clinic for Women, Davis House, Bridges DVC, Franklin Fire Fighters charities.
A Vintage Affair has donated more than $1.5 million to its beneficiaries over the past decade and a half.
