The Great News………

April will be a very exciting month for Franklin Synergy Bank, with 2 milestone events occurring. On April 17th, at 5pm, Franklin Financial Network, our parent company, will hold its first annual shareholder meeting at our bank located at 3301 Aspen Grove Drive. All shareholders are invited.

In early April, Franklin Synergy Bank will officially become Williamson County's primary depository bank. Our bank was selected from nine competing banks to handle the County Trustee accounts. This is quite an honor for a young bank and we greatly appreciate the trust placed in us by the county. A major criterion in the selection process was the experience of several of our bankers in working with the county over the last decade. As a friend commented, "You're a new bank, but not new bankers."

Williamson County is an exciting place to live, work, and play. The statistics are impressive. Our county is the wealthiest in the state of Tennessee, and, using the year 2005 as a base, the county is the seventh wealthiest in the country. Recent economic activity (corporate relocations, expansion in the Cool Springs area, etc.) has resulted in a 17.8% growth in total employment between 2000 and 2005 and an unemployment level significantly below state and national levels.

We often are asked, "Why has Williamson County experienced such rapid growth?" There are many reasons for our growth and wealth, but my personal belief is that there is one over-riding factor: political leadership. Over the last few decades, our local leaders have made insightful and visionary decisions that continue to benefit our community. For example, our political leaders elected to invest in a top quality public education system, making our community a leader in attracting new businesses and new residents.

Another beneficial facet of our political leadership has been its financial stewardship. Recently, the county's bond rating was raised to "AAA", the best rating available for local government entities. Of the 3,300 plus counties in the US, Williamson County is one of only 50 to have this rating, according to Moody's Investor Service, an independent credit rating agency. AAA bond ratings allow our governments to borrow at the lowest interest rates possible, requiring fewer tax dollars to repay debt. The cities of Franklin and Brentwood also have AAA bond ratings.

At Franklin Synergy Bank, we are sincerely proud to call Williamson County home and to serve as the County's bank.
