On becoming a mature bank

Franklin Synergy Bank continues to grow and prosper, thanks to the loyal patronage of our shareholders, our customers, and our community. Our customers are our friends, our families, our neighbors. We value your support.

It seems like just yesterday that we opened our bank. In reality, it has been just nine months since we opened our doors to the community in November 2007. In that time, we have together accomplished so much. From a financial perspective, we have reached key milestones significantly faster than most banks during their first few months of operation. They include:

  • $55 million in loans
  • $92 million in deposits
  • Assets of $125 million.

As we begin to approach our one year anniversary, our challenges and expectations expand as we become a more mature bank. We now embark on new initiatives with enthusiasm and confidence, addressing changes in banking over recent years. In the past, banks needed branches on every corner; today that’s an outdated way of doing business. Many of our customers like to visit with us to bank, and we will continue to offer a welcoming environment. You might not think that your banker misses seeing you if you haven’t been in for awhile, but we do. Other customers prefer to bank online. At Franklin Synergy Bank, we provide a full range of banking products no matter how you’d like them delivered.

For customers who like to visit with us at our bank, our next expansion step is to open a branch in Downtown Franklin. After months of searching for the best location, we have selected the Bennett House on Franklin’s Fourth Avenue North, a block off Main Street. Franklin is our corporate home, and being in Downtown Franklin is important to our long term identity and success. We plan to open the new office during the fourth quarter, pending regulatory approval.

Later this month, we will continue to redefine banking convenience by offering the option of opening accounts online (savings accounts, checking accounts, and Certificates of Deposit). You can bank with us without leaving the comfort of your home or office. Before the end of the year, our remote deposit system will expand to allow our consumers to deposit checks online without the need to come to a branch. Our business customers already enjoy this convenience!

Local businesses are important to our bank. We have many products that can help our corporate customers become more profitable, including sweep accounts, credit card processing, remote capture and automated lock box. A unique offering is our workplace banking, which allows employers to offer a special banking benefits package to their employees. We also can meet the borrowing needs of businesses through traditional working capital loans, as well as account receivable loans and business expansion loans. Our specialty is customizing services to the unique needs of the business.

Loans, assets, and deposits are important benchmarks, but the most important part of banking is our customers. We know that if we are the best at taking care of our customers, loans and deposits will take care of themselves. Our dedicated team of bankers truly believes in our customers and will take extra special care of you.

Thank you for the opportunity to be your bank and to grow and prosper in Williamson County.
