A Time for Gratitude

As we begin the Christmas and Holiday season, I want to take a brief moment to reflect on gratitude. Like many years, 2008 has been a year of mixed blessings: our nation’s economy has been a major source of concern for all of us; locally, our economy has weakened, but not succumbed to the national malaise; and Franklin Synergy Bank has been a major success. Overall, most of us will breathe a sigh of relief as we look forward to 2009.

However, even in a difficult time, it is possible to be thankful for the blessings we have received as well as those we have not yet realized. Webster’s dictionary defines gratitude as appreciation or thankfulness for a benefit one has received or will receive. Gratitude infers a sentiment of optimism that blessings will continue to arrive in the future.

We want to express our gratitude to the many friends and customers who have made Franklin Synergy Bank such a success in a short, economically challenging time. We remain hopeful for 2009.

All of us at Franklin Synergy Bank wish you a very joyful Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

Richard Herrington
