Everything from a skyscraper to a performance hall stand out among the newest, best-of-class developments in Nashville’s real estate boom.
Those projects were two of eight honorees at the annual Excellence in Development Awards for the Urban Land Institute’s Nashville chapter. The event drew about 650 ULI members Tuesday night. Check out the award-winning projects in the slideshow with this story.
There were 17 entries in the contest, featuring private-sector development as well as government and nonprofit projects. All were judged on criteria including design quality, financial viability, affordability and contribution to the community.
The entries were judged by three real estate professionals from Houston, Toronto and Washington, D.C.: Drew Mengwasser with TGB Partners; Rameez Munawar with Columbia Property Trust (NYSE: CXP); and Laurie Payne with Diamond Corp.
Of note: Nashville will host ULI’s spring convention in April 2019, which is expected to bring about 4,000 real estate professionals to the city.
